The 2021 edition was rebuilt from the ground up with all-new color maps and hundreds of new additions. It encompases the latest capital improvements, signal changes and track/signal renewal projects, including the TS-GCT Shuttle and the Culver Line's CBTC reconfigurations. As with past editions, Grand Central, the Park Avenue tunnels and Penn Station maps are also included. Current fleet data and train service requirements have also been updated.
Every station, every track, and all yard leads are shown, all with their respective track numbers. The book is now 160 pages in length, spiral-bound in 8 1/2 x 11" format.
Note that the PDF is intended strictly for on-screen viewing and is not printable.
Great book for nyc rail fans!
I like following my path on the PDR and see and the signals and stuff.
The print edition is great to have, as it gets tiring staring at a screen
This is an incredible work with numerous technical explanations as well as the all-important track maps which really help you understand everything about the physical configuration and operation of the current NYC subway system.
Tracks is THE best summary resource on the NYC subway, providing a great overview over all topics of the subway. The maps are the gold standard for detailed track maps, and I wish such a resource was available for other transit networks as well.
